My work focuses on the effects of nature and the power of creation.  

 

Through large scale paintings with oil and acrylic on canvas I aspire to create a space for

positivity. The looseness of strokes in the open,

remarkable skies of my landscapes reflect an

emotional release.

 

Years of photography influence my composition and color palette. I typically envision the completed work prior to beginning. And I often find an image within an image: a thumbnail that becomes a work unto itself.

 

Through my process, the intent is to shift the

viewer away from the mundane – to absorb ephemeral moments that others might miss.
